2011 Golden Turtle Award given to the Bob Leonard Family
The 2011 Golden Turtle Award was given to The Bob Leonard Family. Bob Leonard was an early leader of the River Corridor Foundation and was instrumental in developing the 2002 River Corridor Master Plan. Upon his death, the City of St. Charles dedicated the Bob Leonard Walk to his memory. His daughter, Jennifer Leonard-Biddle, served as Chairperson of the River Corridor Foundation and helped organize the yearly Bob Leonard River Run and Walk as the major fundraising event for the Foundation. Her extended family continues to be closely involved with the event.
